The Legend of Zelda.
The Legend of Zelda is a video game series I fell in love with after playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 64. Everything about the game captured me––the story, the characters, the music, you name it. Then I played more games in the series and loved them all. It really should be no surprise I ended up making quite a few Legend of Zelda related sites. Check them out below.
Lullaby ♣ Princess Zelda
"Shadow and light are two sides of the same coin, one cannot exist without the other. I know the reason the goddesses left the Mirror of Twilight in this world. They left it because it was their design that we should meet."
It had been a question on everyone's mind, including mine: "why have I not made a Princess Zelda shrine yet"? My domain is named after her and I run her fanlisting, so what gives? I have no idea, but have I finally done something about it. Zelda is easily my favorite character in the series––and one of my favorite female characters in general––so this is something I really should have done sooner. This shrine was a challenge to write, due to being a general Zelda shrine rather than a specific incarnation, but it was so much fun.
Heroic Tale ♣ Linkle
"My grandmother always told me that, secretly, I was the legendary hero! Look! See this compass? My grandma gave this to me. It's a MAGIC compass. Proof! Now if you'll excuse me, I have a castle to protect!"
Okay, so technically this isn't a Legend of Zelda related shrine, but close enough. I've loved Linkle ever since she was first announced as a playable character in the 3DS port, and sometime later I considered the idea of making a small shrine to her. Let me tell you, it's a bad idea to tell your friends about possible shrine ideas because they have this way of making you do them. On this site I aim to provide lots of in-game information and opinions on Linkle, and to explain why I like her so much and why I think you should too.
Transcend Time ♣ Ocarina of Time
"It is something that grows over time. A true friendship, a feeling in the heart that grows even stronger over time. The passion of friendship will soon blossom into a righteous power, and through it you will know which way to go."
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a game that means the world to me. Without it I don't think I'd be a gamer or building websites for fun. I don't want to think about where I'd be if I had never played this game. While that had absolutely nothing to do with the creation of this site (although honestly I'm not sure why I didn't think about doing it before) I'm still glad I made it anyway. I'll admit it wasn't easy to do as this was my first attempt at making a shrine to a video game, but it was still a fun experience nonetheless.
